Export Sales Manager

Are you a driven Sales Leader with a passion for international markets and a knack for exceeding targets?

If so, we are seeking a highly driven and experienced Export Sales Manager to join our team. You will lead a team of Regional Export Sales Managers (RESMs) and drive sales performance across multiple international markets. You will be key in shaping export strategies, leading the export sales team, and ensuring the company meets and exceeds sales targets.

There’s plenty to do in this role, you will lead the RESM team, ensuring they meet sales targets while maintaining strong employee relations. Responsibilities include regular team communication, performance management, and training. The role also involves preparing quotations and managing the CRM system. You will provide technical sales support to distributors and collaborate with the marketing team to execute trade shows and events. You will also monitor distributor activities, analyse sales trends, and provide strategic recommendations to enhance performance across all territories. You will stay informed on export law changes and local trading practices to guide future strategies.

What about you? you will have sales management experience with a background in export sales, ideally within a technical environment. The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing international distributors and sales teams, coupled with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets. A background in selling hand tools and capital equipment is essential, while knowledge of the metrology, test, and measurement field will be highly advantageous. You will be be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with strong organisational and time management skills. Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship management abilities are essential, along with strong negotiation, creativity, and initiative when generating new ideas and driving them to completion.
