As sole UK distributor for Sylvac products, we are pleased to introduce the latest Sylvac Scan machine; the Sylvac Scan F60. This optical measuring system is the first of a new range of scan machines for the non-contact measurement of cylindrical turned parts, featuring a new camera and optics which offer superior image processing, speed and quality. The Sylvac Scan F60 can increase productively with a significant reduction in inspection time on even the most demanding of cylindrical parts; including shafts, turbine blades, camshafts and associated components.
With a complete 2D part scan in under 3 seconds, the Sylvac Scan F60’s progressive design of the hardware and software ensures that multiple precision measurements can be taken in an instant, with associated data output that is simple to assess and utilise. The upgraded software and hardware follows extensive experience and research in this field and is designed to reduce the time and resources required to accurately measure multiple turned parts.
UK Field Sales Manager for Bowers Group, Martin Hawkins, said:
“The Sylvac Scan F60T boasts an impressive cycle time of less than 3 seconds on full size parts, which has the potential to be a game changer in the field of optical measurement! Bowers Group are delighted to introduce the F60T to the UK market and look forward to demonstrating the machine at Southern Manufacturing 2017.”
To give greater diversity in the parts that can be measured, the Sylvac Scan F60 can accommodate a measuring range of 60mm diameter and 300mm in length. A scanning speed of 100mm per second ensures that all parts are measured not only with the utmost speed, but also accuracy and repeatability. This enhanced measurement and speed helps to gain faster times; not just in measurement but also in return on investment.
One of the main features of the Sylvac Scan F60 is that the exclusive helix tilting system which enables sensors to tilt to a 30 degree angle. This ensures that measurements taken for threads are very precise, taking data on the flank, thread and root with ease.
The new attractive design is suitable for use on the shop floor, and includes a new enclosure; complete with a door and safety light curtain, integrated calibration master and temperature sensors for environmental control and large LED status light. Scan F60 incorporates the renowned “Reflex-Click” technology, offering part recognition, auto measure and cycle start, all at the push of a button.
Its new ergonomically designed work holding capacity features quick release tooling for rapid part changeovers. In addition, the new modern software layout offers new features including dust filters, graphical statistics view, and dynamic results for quick, easy analysis.
Bowers Group will be demonstrating this product at Southern Manufacturing on the 21 – 23 March at our stand number R139. If you have any questions or would like further detail, then please do contact our team on sales@bowersgroup.co.uk
