“We are really pleased to have extended our sponsorship of the University of Wolverhampton Race Team (UWR), taking our partnership to 2022. As part of our sponsorship, we’ve also been able to donate a variety of our metrology equipment to School of Engineering, giving students and apprentices access to a range of measurement tools including Calipers, Micrometers, Internal Bore Gauges and Height Gauges.
UWR is the only racing team to compete in the F3 Cup and the AR Morgan Challenge that uses students to design, manufacture, and race in a competitive environment. As a result, students gain valuable engineering industry experience working as a professional team in competitive motorsport.
The metrology equipment donated by Bowers Group will become vital tools for the students involved, giving them a clear head start when it comes to being familiar with the equipment they will use in their future careers.
