Last month Bowers Group opened the doors of its Camberley Showroom for two open days, both of which were a great success. Coinciding with the Farnborough Air Show which was taking place just 3 miles away, a number of visitors took the opportunity to come and have a look around our fully stocked demonstration room full of a wide range of metrology equipment.
Several members of the Bowers Group sales team were kept busy by interested parties, providing demonstrations and product overviews on a range of measuring options for the laboratory as well as the manufacturing floor.
Of particular interest was the upgrade retrofit package for profile projectors. The offering consists of an upgrade package to covert profile projectors into a 2D measuring device. The Baty Fusion measurement software can be incorporated with a touch screen monitor which is easily attached to existing hardware. This simple approach really does reinvigorate the use of existing hardware without incurring the cost of replacing the machine itself and can be utilised on Baty, Starrett and Mitutoyo profile projectors.
The Baty Venture XT was also a popular choice for visitors, who were keen to find out more about how the innovative vision system can be used for high accuracy contact and non-contact measurement. The Venture XT received rave reviews following its unveiling at Control Exhibition in Stuttgart in April; feedback was excellent, and distributors especially liked the new field of view tools which have dramatically reduced program execution times, so there’s no wonder it was a talking point at the open day!
